Reduced Heart Risk Linked to Multivitamins

Women who use multivitamins over a long period of time have reduced heart attack risk according to an international research team. The study which started in 1997, included 31,671 Swedish women with no history of cardiovascular disease. All the participants were questioned about their diet, lifestyle and supplement usage. After more than 10 years, 932 women had suffered heart attacks; use of multivitamins was associated with cardiac risk reduction. (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 11/1/10).
