Allergies and Liver Health

Allergy intolerances can trigger severe reactions and symptoms that may include inflammation, itching, sneezing, runny nose, etc.
However, research has indicated that allergic reactions may manifest itself more than just runny nose or itching. There is a consensus that allergies may also be implicated in hyperactivity, mental imbalance, arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome and a host of other seemingly unrelated disorders.
One of the liver’s critical function is the detoxification of the body and the prevention of physiological stressors from causing allergies and dis-function. Therefore, it is of outmost importance that the liver be kept healthy and operating smoothly by the restriction of various toxins and chemicals that come in through our diet, smoking or drinking.
Read food labels and avoid chemicals that should not be in the food. Also stay away from chemicals that cannot be pronounced easily.
Lastly, consider doing a gentle liver detoxification as this is the right time of the year to do one. There are a number of different herbal formulations and single herbs that can assist you in achieving a good cleanse.
Your liver will love it and so will you.
